iProX is an integrated proteome resources center which is built to accelerate the worldwide data sharing in proteomics. As an official member of ProteomeXchange Consortium, it has been widely used in academia and is an experimental data sharing and submission platform recommended by international academic journals (nature, cell, etc.). However, in order to provide users with an automated data submission platform and meet some needs of iProX users, we have developed a new graphical interface tool iProXplorer to support the data submission of the iProX database. Specifically, iProXplorer defines standardized data format to describe experimental metadata and files, supports automated data submission, exchanges experimental summary between different users. iProXplorer provides a user-friendly interface, as well as a command-line approach that can be integrated into the analysis process. iProXplorer, as an automated submission tool for the iProX database, will help facilitate the development of data sharing in the field of proteomics.
